About me
Hello, I'm Tina — and I've spent my life teaching maths
I've taught mathematics for over 25 years, in UK secondary schools and in India. Along the way I've led departments as well as classrooms: I was Director of Mathematics at Tewkesbury Academy, Assistant Head of Mathematics at Cheltenham Bournside School & Sixth Form, and a Teacher of Mathematics at Churchdown School Academy.
I've also had the privilege of mentoring trainee teachers and Early Career Teachers, helping them find their own way of making maths make sense. I'm genuinely passionate about the subject — and especially about encouraging young women to carry on and take A-level maths.
These days I tutor privately, because one-to-one is where I see the biggest change. It gives me the time to listen, to find the gap, and to explain an idea in as many different ways as it takes until a student says, "oh — I get it now."

Targeted support for Foundation and Higher tier. We work through the topics that cost marks, practise exam-style questions properly, and build the technique that turns understanding into grades.
A-Level Maths
Pure, mechanics and statistics taught with real depth. Ideal for students stepping up from GCSE, aiming for top grades, or preparing for maths-heavy university courses.
Lessons are available in person around Cheltenham and Gloucestershire, or online.
